Xiaomi Mi Play Smartphone 6GB RAM Variants Launched, The Chinese electronics company headquartered in Beijing launched new variants of Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone in China. The original handset of the smartphone was launched a few days ago in China with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Onbaord storage.

New variants of Mi Play Smartphone comes with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM (one with 64 GB Onboard storage and the other with 128 GB Onboard storage). Key highlight of the smartphones are MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, IMG GE8320 GPU, 3,000 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro USB port, dual 4G VoLTE, gradient finish on its back glass and much more.

Talking about the details, The new variant of Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone flaunts 5.84 inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 pixles x 2280 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio, measures 147.76 × 71.89 × 7.8 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 150 grams. For software front the smartphone boots Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI 10 out of the box.

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC (System on Chipset) clocked at 2.3 GHz coupled with IMG GE8320 GPU clocked at 680 MHz, 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 Internal storage which is further expandable via the microSD card slot Up to 256 GB.

Moving onto camera details, The Mi Play smartphone bears AI dual rear camera setup that consist of 12 mega pixel primary camera shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2 mega pixel secondary depth camera sensor accompanied with an LED Flash. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8 mega pixel selfie camera shooter which is capable of taking HDR shots.

In terms of connectivity options, the new Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone includes Bluetooth 4.2, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual 4G VoLTE, four positioning systems, Micro USB port for charging, GPS / A GPS, WiFi hotspot, FM radio, Etc. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, geomagnetic, proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor and gyroscope. On the whole, the smartphone is backed by an 3,000 mAh battery unit.

As mentioned above, Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone comes in two variants. The 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,299 (around Rs. 13,200), while 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs. 16,300).

The 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage variant will be available for purchase in Black, Dream Blue and Twilight colour options. On the other hand 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of inbuilt storage variant will be available for purchase in Black, Dream Blue and Twilight Gold color options. Both the variants are yet to reveal for the same, Xiaomi has promised to notify whenever the handset becomes available.

The Original 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Internal storage variant of Xiaomi Mi Play Smartphone has been priced at CNY 1,099 (around Rs. 11,000). It will be available in Black, Dream Blue and Twilight Gold colour options along with a gradient finish.

The handset comes with 6 GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection, USB Type C, 4,000 mAh battery that supports 18W charging and Quick Charge 3, Bluetooth v 5.0, dual rear camera setup, Android 8.1 Oreo, Wide notch on the top of the display.

The smartphone comes in two variants, one with 6 GB of RAM / 128 GB of Internal storage priced at Rs. 23,999 and the other with 8 GB of RAM / 256 GB of Inbuilt storage priced at Rs. 29,999. In terms of optics, the smartphone bears 12 mega pixel Sony IMX363 primary camerasensor with a 1.4 micron pixel size, dual pixel autofocus and a 5 mega pixel secondary camerasensor. On the front, there is a 20 mega pixel camera along with HDR and AI Beautify features.
